I love to find new and unique items for the website. I found this beautiful "Raised" design Hand Painted Talavera in the Delores Hidalgo region of Mexico. I really think it is some of the most unique and beautiful Talavera Pottery I have ever seen. Each dish is painted with a thick enamel that actually raises up off its surface. Then the dishes are glazed and fired making them safe to use. You will also find that these pieces are actually more of a ceramic than stoneware as you normally  find in traditional Talavera. Enjoy them! They set a beautiful table or make great decorator pieces for your home.    -Ricky
