While strolling through a shop in Texas, I saw a woman looking at a painting. Hanging from her shoulder was one of these Cowboy Boot Handbags. I thought it was very unique as well as very beautiful. I approached the woman and asked where she had found her handbag. She smiled and told me that everybody asks her the same question. The handbag was a gift to her from a friend who had bought the purse in a small Texas town named Boerne. After a bit of research and digging around, I finally found the man who makes these great handbags. He explained to me that the bags are made from real Cowboy Boots. He hand fashions the Boots into handbags, sometimes paints them and adds the hardware and straps. The process takes awhile and can't be mass produced. I bought everything he had for Mufungo and ordered more. Upon returning home, I was unloading the handbags from my car when my neighbor Ann walked over to say hello. I showed her one of the handbags...and it started a chain reaction. She had to have one for herself as well as a gift for her cousin and then called a friend who came by to look at the handbags as well. Ann's friend bought one for herself and her daughter as well. So here they are...real Cowboy Boot Handbags. The larger bags are made from "western" style boots and the smaller bags are made from "roper" style boots. - Ricky
